ALCS captured 11 animals (10 cows and 1 female calf) on March 30th to initiate the fourth maternity pen season.
Capture was smooth and was completed in just over four hours. The caribou have already adjusted well to the pen, as all of them have spent a season in it before, and the female calf was born in the pen last year.
We are waiting to hear about results from the samples we took during capture which will tell us how many of the cows are pregnant.
